GableRoof.co.uk started as a simple idea. Homeowners should not have to ring around ten different roofers just to get a fair price.
Most people only deal with a roofer once every ten or twenty years. That means most homeowners go into a quote with very little idea of what is normal, who is reliable, or what questions to ask. We built this site to close that gap.
What we do
We do two things well. First, we write plain and honest guides on roofing costs, materials and maintenance. You can read them on our blog. Second, we run a free matching service that connects homeowners with a small number of vetted, local roofers, instead of a flood of cold calls.
We are funded by the roofers in our network, through match fees and optional featured listings. This means the service stays free for homeowners, and we do not sell anyone’s data to outside companies beyond what is needed to arrange a quote. You can read the full details in our privacy policy.

Our cost guides and comparisons are written and checked by our own editorial team, not by sponsors. Any paid content is always clearly labelled as sponsored.
A checked network
Every roofer goes through the same checks before joining our directory, whether they choose a free or a featured listing.
No pressure, no obligation
Getting matched with a roofer costs nothing and does not commit you to anything. You choose whether to go ahead with any roofer we introduce you to.
How we check every roofer
Before a business appears in our directory, whether free or featured, it goes through the same four checks.
1. Trade insurance
We check for valid public liability cover against the roofer’s policy documents.
2. Certification
We look for relevant trade body membership, such as NFRC, where it applies to the work they do.
3. Trading history
We confirm the business is actively trading and that we can reach them.
4. Customer feedback
We keep an eye on reviews over time, and we review a listing again if any problems come up.
